Moissanites are the ideal alternative to diamonds. They are nearly colorless gemstones (D color)with a hardness of 9.25 on the Moh's scale. Moissanite is harder than all other gemstones (ruby, emerald, sapphire, etc.) and is second only to diamonds (10 on the Moh's scale).
The brilliance of Moissanites IR (refractive index) is 2.65 , greater than that of a diamond (2.42).
